Frequently Asked Questions

Q - Do you offer any guarantees on your search engine optimisation services?

A - No. And beware of any SEO company that does as there are no hard and fast rules to follow that will ensure a high ranking position in any search engine. They pull the strings and nothing stays the same for very long when it comes to algorithms - it's the optimisation specialist's job to keep abreast of changes and adapt accordingly.

Q -How do you differ from other SEO companies?

A - Basically, we won't rip you off or make promises we can't keep which, unfortunately, are things that many other search engine optimisers will do unless you conduct a little bit of your own research into competing SEO company claims. Our prices are very realistic - in fact, we challenge you to find a company that could give you a better service for the same prices.

Q - Can I optimise my own website?

A - Yes you can at a very basic level. Start with a simple, easy-to-navigate, uncluttered site with not too many graphics but plenty of well-structured website copywriting. Use the title and description tags well - in fact, our tutorial will give you a step-by-step guide to follow. If you don't understand any of that however, then the simple solution is to leave it to an experienced SEO.

Q - Do you have a set pricing structure for your search engine optimisation services?

A - No. We base our optimisation prices on the specific requirements of each individual website, so different projects have different objectives. If you have a simple website, or want a simple website developed and optimised, it could cost you less than a website that's large or complex, needs the copywriting re-edited and basically requires totally re-working in order to stand a chance in the search engines. Our SEO services are on-going, meaning that once the initial ground work has been completed, we continue to monitor your website and carry out necessary alterations, additions or other changes to improve or maintain search engine rankings - something for which we set a monthly fee.

Q - How long after optimisation could I expect to see results?

A - If your website has some age to it and has already been established on the web for some time, the first improvements in search engine rankings could be enjoyed in as little as two weeks. Newly developed websites take much longer, however, and can mean an initial appearance for your website will not happen for some time, so realistically an improvement in search engine positioning for your website might take anywhere from six to eighteen months, depending on how competitive the market-place is for the product, service or information you are offering.

Q - If my website achieved a high search engine position after you optimise it, would it stay there?

A - This is not something any reputable SEO company can guarantee as the position of every website is largely due to the search engines themselves and their constantly shifting algorithms (what elements they want to see on any particular page of any website). You could hold your rankings for many months, but there again you could just as easily drop in less than a month for no obvious reason, so we stress the importance of an on-going maintenance plan to monitor your site and 'tweak' it where necessary to help stabilise or improve your rankings as far as can be expected in an ever-changing environment.

Q - I've been told I need hundreds of links pointing to my website to make it to the top of the rankings - is this true?

A - No. These days the search engines still seem to put a lot of relevance on links that point to your website as they are looked upon as an endorsement, giving your site a positive vote. What's more important though, is that the website linking to yours is of good quality and, better still, related in some way to the product, service or information that you are offering or promoting. Ten links from recognised, good quality sites that are directly related to yours are infinitely better than a hundred links from ones that are of inferior quality or bear no relevance to yours at all.
